As this is being published, Josh and I are starting our vacation in Cape Cod! We’re doing some new stuff and some of our favorites from last year. We’ve both been looking forward to this trip!

I celebrated my birthday over Memorial Day weekend (since it fell on the holiday this year), which included a visit from our niece, a solo date to a new bookstore, a trip to the cat cafe where we adopted Cannoli from, dinner at a brewery, a family BBQ, a well-deserved trip to get books, and ice cream!

Miscellaneous:

• I worked Commencement this year, and honestly didn’t get in as many steps as I thought I would. It made for a long day—since the University does both undergraduate and graduate ceremonies on the same day—but it’s always an exciting day to be a part of.
• Josh and I went to a comedy show featuring two guys from the local classic rock radio station—the same one whose morning show we both listen to and found out about on our second date.
• I’m trying to exercise more during the week. My dance classes are off for a while, so I’ve been keeping up with running, going on walks, riding the stationary bike, and also working in core and thigh workouts.
• My parents and I went to a Hartford Yard Goats game this past week, where they played as the Hartford Rock Cats—the old team name they went by when they were an affiliate in the Minnesota Twins organization. We went on Thursday as it was David Ortiz bobblehead night (he played for the Rock Cats back in the late ’90s), but the giveaway was for the first 1,000 fans, and unfortunately, we missed out. I’m pretty sure the game was sold out because it was the busiest I’ve ever seen the stadium, and our seats were fine, but the kids around us were annoying.
