I thought a post like this would be fun to do! I broke it down by days since they look a little different now that I have a hybrid work schedule.
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
These are the days that I’m in the office. I get up at 6:30 a.m. and I’ll start by making my breakfast and having a cup of tea. By the time I’m done eating, it’s around 7:15 and I’ll start to get ready. Since going back into the office, I’ve gotten my hair and makeup routine down to about 10 minutes.
Once all of that is done, I’ll pack my lunch—I always prep my at-work lunches on Sunday mornings for the week, so I just have to grab whatever’s in the fridge. I try to leave my condo between 7:50 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. since it takes me about a half hour to get to work.
My normal work hours are 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and I take my lunch around 12:15 p.m. for an hour. I work in the marketing department at a university, so for the most part, my in-office days look the same—sitting at my desk—but I’ll also attend events on campus or now that it’s nice out, go walk around and take some photos/videos for social media. We still have Zoom meetings, even though most of us are back in the office; I think since I’ve been back in the office I’ve only had a handful of actual in-person meetings.
Once I’m done at 4:30 p.m., I’ll either go for a run on campus (usually on Mondays) or head home. I typically get home around 5:10 p.m.—it always takes me longer to get home in the afternoon and it makes me sad—and I’ll eat as soon as I get home.
After dinner, depending on the day, Josh will come over or I’ll do chores, go for a walk, read, or watch TV. By the time I’ve gotten home and eaten, it’s around 6:00 p.m. and I like to spend my time before I go to bed relaxing. I’ll head into bed after 9:00 p.m. and read a bit. I try to go to bed before 10:00 p.m.
Wednesday and Friday
These are my two work from home days, so I actually get to sleep in an hour later. I’ll get up around 7:30 a.m., make breakfast, change, and get ready for my day. I 100% still wear comfy clothes when I WFH, and I look forward to these days knowing I can wear leggings while working.
I work the same hours when I’m home, so I’ll set up in my home office, but sometimes if I don’t have any meetings, I’ll set up on the couch in the living room.
I take my lunch around 12:15 p.m. and I’ll make a fresh lunch for myself. Usually, it’s a wrap and some chips or I’ve also made quesadillas. I’ll watch TV while I eat, and with the remaining time of my lunch break, I’ll either read, go for a walk (which I did during the wintertime), or do some chores around the condo.
On Wednesday after work, I’ll either go for a run in the neighborhood or just relax and watch some TV before I make dinner. I’ll read before bed and try to be in bed by 10:00 p.m. like any other weeknight. On Fridays, Josh will come over and we’ll meet my parents for our weekly date night.
Saturday and Sunday
I do my grocery shopping on Saturday mornings, and now that it’s been nicer out, I’ve been going for a run after I get back and before lunch. In the afternoon, I’ll usually just hang out at home as Saturdays are my “me day” of the weekend. It’s nice to just have an entire day to do whatever I want. At night I’ll catch up on my shows and have a few drinks.
On Sundays, in the mornings I try to sleep in a bit more before doing a few chores. This is when I’ll make my work lunches for the week and either clean the bathrooms or change and wash my sheets. In the afternoon, it’s more just hanging out time before Josh usually comes over after dinner. During football season, we’d watch whatever games were on, but now that it’s the off-season, we’ll either watch the Sox (if they’re on) or we’ve had a few shows we’ve been watching on Netflix and Hulu.
