Life
For being the shortest month of the year, February took forever. But I can’t believe tomorrow is March. I can’t believe we even made it out of March 2020 to make it to March 2021. Next month will be a year of working from home, and I’m going to put together a big post about my one year in quarantine.
That being said, I’m still working from home. We got a big snow storm in the beginning of the month, and it was nice to not have to worry about driving to work in the snow. I just put on my comfy clothes and worked from my bedroom.
I’ve been busy the last couple of weeks planning social media posts for the theatre group I’m volunteering with (the one I talked about in my January monthly recap). So far everyone has been really great to work with—everything has been virtual—and I’m excited to work with them.
The weather has been sort of getting to me, and I’ve accidentally not left the house a lot, so my plan for March is to try to make small plans to get out, even if it’s running errands or just going for a drive.

I went to the library last week, which, as we all know, is my favorite place. I hadn’t been in over a month, so I let myself take out 8 books.
The library was requiring you to make an appointment but as of March 1, you don’t have to have one anymore to go in and browse. They’ve been doing curbside pick up since last June, which I did once, but I like going inside to look around at books instead.
Exercise
I’ve run once this month! Hahaha. It’s been cold and gloomy and snowy here, and I am such a fair-weather runner that the only day I ran outside was on an afternoon that was in the high 40s and sunny. I’ve gone on a few walks in the mean time, and I’m trying to get back into yoga even though I’d rather just lay in my bed.
Writing
*laughs uncontrollably* I haven’t touched my story since the very beginning of the month. I went back and reread what I had written and made some edits. And I haven’t opened up the Google doc since. Not sure how this is going to work out for my New Year’s Resolution of completing it by the end of this year…
Sports
Dustin Pedroia retired, and Andrew Benintendi was traded to the Kansas City Royals.
So yeah, things are going fine, why do you ask?
I had my pre- and post-Super Bowl coverage for the game earlier this month that, to be honest, was kind of a snooze fest.
Baseball has reported for spring training in the last few weeks, which is exciting. Maybe they’ll start the season on time?

My Questions For You
- How was your February?
- Is there anything you’re looking forward to in March?
- Anything you’d like to talk about?
Oooo wow! Being able to go IN a library? That hasn’t been allowed here since March 16th, 2020. You couldn’t even return books until Julyish! They locked the return slots. I do curbside pickup and I like it!
February flew by for me! I’m so happy its March!
Im excited for my job search. And terrified of not finding anything, but happy for the change, and trusting God will put something in place for me.
March will be interesting! My sections at school are switching so the classes have been disinfected and ready for tomorrow. I’ll start my day across the hall and end in my room. It will take a bit of time to adjust haha. And I have to find a new spring theme decoration for my door! This is my first year doing door decorations so I’ve gone with vague/large themed decorations instead of holidays – its too much work to change so often. I may by “the fun teacher” but I’m also very lazy hahahaha

Yes, I get to go inside! Which is exciting. The library was fully closed March-June last year, and they’ve allowed people inside since last summer. There’s normally only a handful of people there when I go—including my mom and myself—and I feel safe going there.
The job search can suck but I believe the right thing will come your way. Sometimes you just have to wait.
Door decorations! That’s awesome. When I was in the office, I’d decorate my office door for the holidays.

Ohhhh so lucky! I love just going in and walking around haha!
And yes totally can suck! Theres a job in a nearby city that keeps popping up and I think I will actually apply. I wasnt going to cos its not very far away from Toronto but it keeps coming up so I will at least send a resume haha!
Right now I have a snowman swinging on a string of lights! 😂 I think I have an idea ready for the next but I’m not very artistic so I will have to see if it will work hehe

February was not bad. My husband and two of our kids have gotten the first dose of the vaccine. Our son has actually had both of his doses. Hubby had a slight reaction to his first, but he also actually had Covid so we are thinking that may be the reason. Son had a minor reaction to his second dose (headache and chills for not even one whole day). Our daughter and I had no reaction (other than a little sore arm). March is my birthday and although I’m getting older, it doesn’t bother me much. Looking forward to baseball, even if it is just watching spring training games. Happy Sunday to you.

I’m glad you guys were able to get your vaccines! My grandparents got theirs last month, and my parents are now eligible in our state as of today. I think they might wait a few weeks just because it’s so crazy to try to get an appointment. I’m not eligible until May, since they’re doing it based on age.
I’m looking forward to baseball, too! The Red Sox were on TV in a game today but I wasn’t able to watch it. Hopefully I can catch a spring training game soon.

I am definitely looking forward to spring! I don’t hate winter, but the weather, darkness, and spending so much time indoors really gets to me after a while.

I’m the same way! Being cooped up during winter is one thing, and then you throw in COVID, and I think everyone is itching to get outside.
