Spotify Wrapped

It’s that time of year, folks: Spotify Wrapped. The one thing I hate about Wrapped is that it only looks at January to October of the year. November and December feels like no man’s land, like there are no rules now and you can listen to whatever you want and it won’t count.

Music

Top Genres:

  1. Pop
  2. Rock
  3. Modern Rock
  4. Contemporary Country (#1 last year)
  5. Indiecoustica

Listened to 36 total genres

My Audio Day:

  • My mornings: Upbeat Feel good Good Vibes
  • My afternoon: Melancholy Angst Acceptance
  • My nights: Love Kindness Friendly

(This section makes absolutely no sense to me. It seems like it was put together with those fridge magnets of words where you create random sayings.)

Minutes Listened:

  • 48,480 minutes
    • More than 91% of other listeners
    • About 3,000 less minutes than last year

My Top Song:

  • I Just Wanna Shine by Fitz and the Tantrums
    • Date most listened: March 27
    • Total stream: 28

(I listened to this song a lot toward the beginning of the year but don’t think I’ve listened to it since over the summer. So it’s always weird to have songs from earlier in the year skew the stats, especially with my top songs.)

My Top Songs:

  2. blind by ROLE MODEL
  3. Sunroof by Nicky Youre, day
  4. Overdrive by Conan Gray
  5. The Bottom by Gracie Adams

Played a total of 669 songs

My Top Artist:

    • About 200 minutes less than last year

Top Artists:

  2. Harry Styles
  3. Jonas Brothers
  4. Quinn XCII (#2 last year)
  5. Gracie Adams

Listened to 480 total artists

Podcasts

Minutes listened: 41,225 minutes

My Top Podcasts:

  1. Rock 102 Morning Show Podcasts (#1 last year)
  2. You’re Wrong About
  3. That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast (#3 last year)
  4. Brunch (#4 last year)
  5. Jared Carrabis Podcast*

*I started listening to this podcast over the summer and maybe listened to 10ish episodes total. There was another podcast I started earlier in the year—American Hysteria—and started by listening to older episode working my way to the newer ones,  and I definitely listened to more of those than Jared Carrabis’s. I’d like to see the honorable mentions for this list.

I spent 20,446 minutes with my top podcast, which is about 2,000 less minutes than last year.

My Listening Personality:

The Enthusiast

You’re a superfan. When your favorite artist releases new music, you’re among the first to know, going above and beyond to show your support.

Familiarity • Newness • Loyalty • Commonality

(I think this is pretty accurate.)
