My week got off to a weird and unnecessary bad start, so I instantly turned to the things that make me feel comfortable and relaxed. And decided to make a list of some of them.

My weighted blanket. I got one for Christmas in 2020 and I love it. It’s from Bearby and it’s navy, which matches my bedroom colors/decor perfectly. It usually goes on the end of my bed but when I’m feeling sad I like to take it out to the couch to lay under. I like that I can feel the weight but it’s also not too hot or overwhelming.

My parents got me a weighted blanket which is awesome but the joke is actually on me because I have no upper body strength to carry a 15 pound blanket around the house 😅

Lying on the floor. There are just some days I want to come home from work and lie on the floor. It was great when I still lived at home because the dogs would come to join me since I was now on their level. Now I just lie on my living room floor alone but it still gets the job done.

Comfy clothes. After basically living in comfy clothes for the past two years, it’s not something I’m going to give up anytime soon. There’s nothing better than wearing sweats and an old t-shirt and a big hoodie. I, as girlfriends do, have stolen a few of Josh’s hoodies that I wear on a regular basis when I’m home.

TV shows and movies. There’s always a 100% chance I either have Law & Order: SVU or NCIS reruns on TV at all times—thanks to USA, Paramount, and WE tv for always having them on. I’ve been watching both shows for years and most likely have seen every episode but it’s just comforting to have it on in the background. My to-go comfort movie is Moneyball and I honestly can’t tell you why, it just is. (Maybe because I read the book and I’ve seen the movie a bunch already.)

Couch nap. When all else fails, just go for a couch nap.
