My Answers to Your Questions: Birthday Edition!

I took questions last week since I was busy prior to my birthday and here are my answers!

Sarah‘s Question

Do you feel like you’ll move out of Massachusetts at any point? If so, any idea when or where you’d like to go?

Contrary to popular belief, I don’t live in Massachusetts! I live in Connecticut, born and raised very close to the state line, but I work in Massachusetts and spend a lot of time there. I feel like if anything, I’d move from Connecticut to Massachusetts but I think I’ll be at home for the next year at least. I’m close to paying off my student loans and car payments and want to have a solid foundation before moving out.

Bex‘s Question

What’s a super power that you have that no one knows about?

I can make three small soft serve cones at the same time, meaning I’ll hold two empty ones with my hand pulling the handle, make the first one, take an empty one from my other hand and put the made cone in the other empty one, and for the last one, I’ll hold the two made cones in my right hand while also pulling the handle to make the final cone in my left hand. I found out this month that I can do it, so it’s not commonly known yet.

Aaron‘s Question

Do you like Froot Loops? If so, what is your favorite flavor?

I’m not a big cereal person, mostly because I don’t like milk. I feel like I’ve read somewhere that they’re all the same flavor…but I think I’d be partial to the blue ones because it’s my favorite color.

Ellie‘s Questions

What are some things you want to do this summer?

Run more consistently and read more. We start summer hours at work this week, so I’ll get out a half hour early, so that’ll give me a little more time to run after work. I marked out a 5K route on campus that I can run, and I want to run at least twice a week. I’m on my 23rd book of the year, and my original goal was to read 30 books this year. I’ll probably hit that by the end of the summer.

Favorite song/book/show right now?

Song: “Better” by Khalid

Book: Beartown by Fredrik Backman (I read it earlier this year and LOVED it)

Show: I’m big into Bar Rescue lately and the marathons on Sundays on the Paramount Network.

Paul‘s Questions

Have you ever received an order at the ice cream shop and thought it was a disgusting combination of flavours?

I’m sure I have but I can’t really think of one off the top of my head. I feel like it would be something with a sundae topping and hard ice cream. Some people get peanut butter sauce on black raspberry which doesn’t seem appealing to me.

How would your pets describe you? Feel free to answer this question by writing like your pets would.

Sadie Mae: She lets me sit with her on the couch at night and she holds my leash when we go on walks.

Maggie: I like to see her because I make all of these noises because I’m happy. She likes to pet me and play with the ball with me in the backyard.

Stella: She’s the girl who feeds me at night and who sits and watches that box with light and ignores me as I sit and stare at her until she gets up and feeds me. She also calls me “boo boo” a lot and likes to hold me when I sometimes don’t want to be held. Because I’m an independent kitty.

Do you believe there should be parks for adults with adult-sized slides and swings, or would that space be better served for something beneficial to kids?

I’d be down for an adult park, as long as kids aren’t allowed in. I’d want a big swirly slide and lots of swings. No monkey bars though, because I don’t have any upper body strength.

Did you ever get in trouble at school? For what?

I was “always a pleasure to have in class” so maybe that’s why I have anxiety and other perfectionist issues as an adult. So no, I didn’t get in trouble at school.

If you had 60 seconds to fill up a cart at Target, which sections do you go to? Note: The items would be free.

Books and snack aisles. My first thought was the women’s clothing section, but if I only have a minute, I can’t judge if something will fit me that quickly. So I feel like books—since I’m somewhat aware of the new releases/the more popular books—and snacks—I love snacks—would be my safest options.

Ellie and Reid both asked the same question

Which birthday has been your favorite so far?

Probably my 22nd birthday three years ago. Two of the girls from the ice cream shop and I went to the outlets in Wrentham—for those who aren’t from New England, that word ends in “um” and not “ham”. It was my first trip to any outlets and I got some really cute stuff. On the way back on the Mass. Pike, the girl who was driving cut across all three lanes to get to an exit, and I swear my life flashed before my eyes.

  1. Such great answers!! If I had free time in Target I’d head straight to the housewares section and put all baking and cooking things in my cart lol it’s so sad that we don’t have target in Canada anymore!

    Happy birthday!! 🥳🥳

  2. Omg I can’t believe I didn’t realize you lived in Connecticut! I feel so silly now with my question. I totally support your decision to live at home until you get a base built up, though. I almost wish I had done something similar, but then I’d be stuck in the middle of nowhere in NH. 😉

I can also do the three-cone thing! I worked at a fast food/soft serve place for six years, so I picked up a lot of tricks haha. It’s super fun to show them off, even though they’ll never come in handy anywhere else.

    • Haha it’s okay! I can see how people would think I live in Massachusetts. It’s not too bad still living at home, and it’s not like I really do much anyway haha.

Yay a fellow ice cream gal! Yeah, outside of an ice cream shop, it’s a totally useless skill, but I feel so proud of myself when I do it.

  3. That Froot Loops question took me by surprise. I never even thought about if the colors were different flavors… lol. These were all really fun & unique. I loved how you answered what your pets would say about you, too! 😂
