Another trip to Maine: Josh and I went to Maine at the end of July into the beginning of August—our last one of the year.
I bought a Kindle. You can read more in depth about why here, but I’m so happy I did. I’m using it to read the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and I’m already on book 4.
I’m back to running. I signed up for the Hartford Marathon 5K again in October—I’ve done it twice already—so that means I have to start running again. It’s going… okay? I’ve been a bit discouraged with my times, although I know it doesn’t really matter, and sometimes 3 miles seems really hard. I’m going to try a run/walk/run interval on my next few runs to see if that helps. It sounds silly since I’ve been running regularly since 2018, but I’m not running as much as I used to, so at this point, I’ll try anything.
Our second Worcester Red Sox game! Surprisingly, Josh and I have only been to two, but we wanted to make an effort this summer to head out there. Our seats were six rows back from the field, and I got to see 3 players who have played for the Red Sox: Nate Eaton, Mickey Gasper, and Romy Gonzalez.
Wedding update! I picked up my dress earlier this month once it came into the store. It’s currently living at my parents’ house, and every time I go over to use the treadmill, I peek into the garment bag and say, “It’s so pretty!” We had a call with the catering company, too, and the woman was super helpful with planning our menu. Of course we’re having cannolis as our dessert! Right now, we’re in sort of a lull; we have all of the deposits in with the vendors, I have my dress, and we sent out our save the dates.
