Five-year anniversary trip to Maine: Here’s my recap post in case you missed it! We did some old favorites and went to a few new places.

Wedding update! I guess this is going to become a monthly addition for a while. We have a date set for the end of April 2027; we’ve been working with our vendors this month: officiant, florist, caterer, and photographer; and, I think, most importantly, I got a dress! My mom and I had a lot of fun while I was trying on dresses, and the one I got isn’t a style I was first looking at, but I knew right away when I tried it on. It’s going to be so hard not to show Josh. The one tradition we’re keeping is that he won’t see my dress until the wedding day, and we’re going to do a photographed first look before the ceremony. The dress was ordered and will come in sometime next month; once I pick it up, it’s going to live at my parents’ house.

Other things!:

• We had to bring Cannoli to the vet for a squinty eye. Thankfully, it was just a mild case of conjunctivitis, and we treated it with ointment for about a week. She doesn’t mind going to the vet because they give her a lot of treats, and there’s a big cat tower in the exam room.
• Josh and I had a busy month, although I think this happens every July. We had his best friend’s Jack and Jill a few weeks ago and his bachelor party this past weekend (it was more of a friend group party as us girls were invited along), a Hartford Yard Goats game, four days in Maine, a BBQ at Josh’s parents’ house with his mom’s side of the family plus my parents who were invited, plus probably something else I’m forgetting.
