Life
February felt just as long as January did—why do the winter months drag on so much? It doesn’t help that there were a few unnecessarily stressful weeks: Josh and I were both sick, and then we found out how difficult it is to have an EV, even as a rental vehicle. And I’ve been in a battle with our washing machine that has led to purchasing a new one—thanks to my parents for help—that will be delivered on Saturday.
I guess the only good thing this month is that we bought a Nintendo Switch. I can see a direct/positive correlation between my stress levels and playing the Switch: the more stressed I am, the more I’ll play Animal Crossing.

From left to right:
- It snowed! We got about 5-6 inches.
- I dragged Josh to an adult book fair at a brewery, which was a good idea in theory, but it wasn’t executed very well. We waited a half hour in line to get to the books, and it was super crowded inside the brewery.
- We started our 2024 Brewery Tour, which is when we’ll pick a new brewery each month to go to. Our first stop was Abandoned Building Brewery, and we both really liked it! And got to pet a dog.
Things not pictured:
- We went to my parents’ house for dinner and saw the pups.
- I went to the dress rehearsal for the theater group I volunteer with to film a trailer for their February show, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. (I wasn’t able to make it to a performance since I was sick.)
“Exercise”?
I ran once! Only because it was sunny and almost 60. I’m signed up for a 5K at the end of March, so once the time changes in a few weeks, I’ll be able to get out more after work. (One downside of WFH full-time is losing easy access to the indoor track on campus where I’d run during the winter.)
I’ve also kept up with my dance class, which has been a lot of fun. I’m learning to laugh at myself, especially when I’m always on the wrong foot when we’re doing a combination.
Sports
Here are my pre- and post-Super Bowl posts, and I’ve heard spring training has started? And the new uniforms are weird?

Oh! Did you go to the one at Labyrinth or Hops on the Hill? I went to both but left Hops immediately because it was too packed. Labyrinth was packed too but my cousin and I got there early enough to get a seat and browse when the line went down enough lol

We went to Hops on the Hill. It was way too crowded but we felt since we already drove a half hour and got beer, we should wait in line.
