Life
On Labor Day, Josh and I took a day trip down to southern CT and went to Niantic and Mystic. It was a ton of fun but we were so tired by the end of it. The weather was beautiful that day and it was great to get out and visit some new places. We’re planning trips for Columbus Day weekend since we both have it off.
I went to trivia this week with Josh and his friends—we went a few times in August but haven’t been back since—and we actually won! The theme was music, and we were all pretty surprised at the end when we found out we finished first.
I’ve picked my cross-stitching back up this month, which has been nice. I’m so close to finishing the one I started back in May, and I already have some new patterns saved on Etsy to order. I’m hoping to make it a fall/winter hobby.

For most of the last year, my hair had blond in it, and then earlier this year, I added in some purple, but for the fall, I’ve gone completely dark. It’s the first time in a really long time that I haven’t had some sort of blond in my hair. It’s a really nice change and also gives my hair a break.
My condo is almost complete! I feel like hanging things up on the walls is a big commitment, so I’m putting it off for as long as I can. I’ve been working on a condo tour post that will be posted soon; I wanted to wait until I had all of my furniture before posting any photos on here.
And, of course, we can’t have a monthly recap without Lucy pictures. She’s definitely been keeping my parents busy. One of her quirks is that she’ll drag shoes, sneakers, slippers, and even dish towels onto her bed. She doesn’t chew on them or anything, just lays with them. Weirdo.
Running
I ran a 5K earlier this month, my first in-person 5K race since 2019. I did it with my co-workers and we got beers after.
I’m running another 5K this Sunday. I originally had signed up for it early last year because it was supposed to happen in April 2020. And then it got moved 5 times before it could finally happen. It’s at a brewery and there will be food trucks and beer after.
Sports
I don’t even know what’s going on in MLB. I think I’ve watched like 5 games this month. Life happens and sometimes you get busy and would rather watch Below Deck than the Red Sox.
But football is back! And the Giants are still terrible! It’s great. Since football season started, Josh comes over on Sundays and all we do is watch football. He’s a Patriots fan, so that’s fun.

Fall is steadily making its way here. We got a taste of fall weather last week, but it was just a tease. This week we were back up in the mid 80s and feeling like summer. I’m ready for full time cooler temps.

We are going to the SF Giants baseball game tomorrow, it will be our 3rd this week! Hoping that we clinch the Division title today or tomorrow for sure. Gotta beat those Dodgers. My daughter and I have started watching Only Murders In The Building on Hulu. It’s cute. Looking forward to pictures of your condo and yes, dogs are weird.
