Catching Up Over Coffee: March 2026

Unlike February, which went by super quickly, March took a while, but I think that’s okay. We had a few warm days throughout the month that almost gave you the will to live again, especially coming out of New England winters.

I usually like to include a few pictures from the month in these posts, but my entire camera roll for March is just pictures of Cannoli. I mean, that’s not a bad thing, but also not reflective of what I did:

  • Our niece turned one! Josh’s sister and husband had a small party with immediate family to celebrate. We can’t believe she’s already a year old—it’s going by so fast.
  • My dance class started back up this month, and I was actually pretty consistent with doing some sort of workout four days a week—either running, walking, dance class, or riding the stationary bike. I’m hoping to keep it up for April.
  • My dad third-wheeled with Josh and me to go see Project Hail Mary in theaters. Josh and I originally planned to go together, and then I mentioned to my parents we were going and my dad got really excited. I read the book three years ago and liked it (4/5 stars), so I was looking forward to the movie and seeing Rocky “in person”. I’m now re-reading the book since I didn’t get to it before seeing the movie.
  • So much March Madness! This is one of my favorite times of the year because I can just put on a random basketball game in the background and read. I’ve only filled out a bracket once—like back in high school—but I always get into the games come bracket-time.
  • Josh and I walked a 5K together this past weekend. I was supposed to do it with my friend but she texted me a few days before that she wouldn’t be able to make it. Since Josh has weekends off now, I asked if he wanted to go with me, and he said yes! This is a race I’ve done a ton before, so I knew where to park and how everything was set up. It was sunny and a bit chilly, but we had a good walk; Josh ended up working the weekend before, so it was nice to get to hang out with him for a while. And, of course, we got brunch after as our reward.
