Where We Went
Pirate’s Cove mini golf. This came as a recommendation from my hairdresser, and when I looked it up, it was super close to the Airbnb, and Josh loves mini golf. We went around 11:30 a.m. to go before lunch and before families show up after dinner. There were some other people there, too.
There were two course options: Captain’s Course or Blackbeard’s Course. We did the second one, and in the end, Josh beat me. But! When we returned our golf clubs, we got cut little Pirate’s Cove-branded flags that I, at age 31, was too excited to get.

Titcomb’s Bookstore. I got The First Gentleman by James Patterson and Bill Clinton, and Josh got a puzzle for his dad for Father’s Day. I also got complimented on my book tattoo by one of the store employees!

Sandwich Antiques Center Gallery. I didn’t get a picture of the outside or inside, but we quickly stopped by this antiques shop to just look around.
Tree House Brewing. This was one of the original reasons why we wanted to go to the Cape. We’ve been to three other locations, and the Sandwich spot is right on the beach, so of course we had to go.
I was worried it would be super busy, but since it was a Wednesday night before the busy summer season, we were able to get parking right next to the building. Overall, it wasn’t super crowded like we’re used to the other Tree House locations being.
It’s right on the water (I think it’s Town Neck Beach), and we sat in the Adirondack chairs with our beers and slices of pizza. I got Tiny House, and Josh got two; I forget the names, but the second one was a brown ale. After we ate and finished our beers, we took a walk on the beach.

What We Ate + Drank
Breakfast: Made at the Airbnb. Scrambled eggs, English muffins, yogurt, and strawberries.

Lunch: Captain Parker’s Pub. I picked this place because it was right next to the mini golf course, and the menu looked right up our alley. There were a ton of police/fire patches up on the walls, and I actually found one for the police department and one of the fire departments from my town, which was cool.
I got a grilled chicken Caesar wrap, and Josh got a Grilled Beer Cheese Pastrami.
Dinner: Tree House. As mentioned above, we got slices of pizza that are made fresh there out of an Airstream trailer. I think prior to the summer, they sold whole pizzas (like a large size), but for the summer, it’s by the slice. This actually worked out better for us, so we didn’t have to worry about leftovers. There’s either cheese or pepperoni to choose from.
Cape Cod Creamery. Our last trip of vacation! I got Pleasant Bay Peanut Butter, and Josh got Orleans Oreo.
My ranking of the flavors I got:
- Chapin Cherry Chocolate
- Pleasant Bay Peanut Butter
- Chappaquiddick Chocolate Chip
(All of them were soo good, though, so I think I would have loved any flavor I got.)
Other Notes
The little patio off the living area at the Airbnb was perfect for reading since the space was surrounded by arborvitaes, blocking out the traffic on the street and most of the sun in the sky.
