February went by a loooot faster than January did. And no one got sick or had to go to the emergency room!!! So things seem to be looking up.
I spent most of the month reading and watching TV (as you’ll see below). I also seemed to have a lot of doctor’s appointments; usually, it’s either I have a month with zero appointments or I’m seeing every single doctor.
Josh and I spent our Valentine’s Day at home. I took a half day from work, we watched 80 for Brady and The Lost City, and we made our own pizzas for dinner. We didn’t want to go out and spend a lot of money, but we did exchange gifts.

Josh and I went to the Springfield Museums last weekend! We went back in August 2022 and thought it would be a fun afternoon date to do in the winter.
There are five separate museums on the grounds:
- Science Museum
- Museum of Springfield History
- George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum
- D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts
- The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum
I got new eyeglasses, which I guess is only exciting for me. I wear glasses when I’m on the computer (so whenever I’m working) and for reading; I used to get really bad eye strain in high school and started wearing glasses. Since my insurance covers new frames every two years, I get new glasses every two years. And plot twist: even though I can be very indecisive when presented with multiple choices, I picked out my new frames on my own within five minutes. Last time I went, my mom came with me to help—see, I’m slowly becoming an adult!

*I’ve decided this year to not give star ratings to non-fiction books. I’ve always felt weird giving ratings based on someone’s life or experiences, so any non-fiction book I list in these recaps will have a “No rating” after it. I’ll continue rating fiction books, though.
