Similar to last year, I got ready for the Super Bowl by doing what I do best: reading and napping. Josh and I watched half of the Puppy Bowl, and after I did some Googling, it’s all fake because the “game” is filmed in October and most of the dogs have already been adopted. But the dogs are just so cute so I guess it’s okay.
I went over to my parents’ house to watch the game while Josh went to watch the game with his dad.
Stella, pictured on the left, had the right idea. Meanwhile, meet Walter, pictured on the right! He was undecided and just hoped both teams had fun.
Game day eats included pizza, popcorn chicken, wings, pigs in a blanket, and artichoke dip (not pictured). I’m still not drinking alcohol after being sick post-Christmas, so my drink of choice was soda. Dessert was frosted brownies with chocolate chips.
I was rooting for the Eagles because I’m so tired of the Chiefs, and so was Josh; I think my mom was taking the Walter route. My dad opted to not watch the game, so it was just me and my mom (and Lucy, who went and got a shoe every time we clapped).
I ended up staying into the middle of the third quarter, which was after 9:00 p.m., and came home to catch the last half of the fourth quarter. My plan wasn’t to watch the entire game anyway but once it looked like the Eagles were going to win, I ended up watching the end.

The marching band is awesome.
Whenever I see Andy Reid, I always think of his COVID face shield and how it’s in the HOF and I got to see it in person. (Highlight of the trip TBH)
