Sooooo, hi. I think this has been the longest I’ve gone without a post since I started regularly blogging in 2018. This month has been… a lot. Well, the last week of 2024 to now has been a lot. January has felt like it lasted three years. And it’s only the first month of the year.

Without getting into details, I had a medical incident right after Christmas which was incredibly scary. I am doing much, much better now, and I’m very grateful for my parents, Josh, and other friends in my life. I spent most of the month at home just recovering and getting back to 100%.

I did actually leave the condo a few times, though. I hung out with two friends (one from work and Alex, our favorite third wheel) to meet my work friend’s new pup, Holly. She’s a retired racing Greyhound from New Zealand and such a sweetie. The other time was this past Saturday when I went to Josh’s sister’s baby shower and my cousin’s bridal shower—all on the same day. I spent Sunday recovering from people and in a blanket burrito on the couch.

I took up coloring as a hobby and a way to keep myself busy. I got these markers and this coloring book from Amazon. It’s an easy activity to do at night while I’m watching TV. I’ve also been reading a lot.

Overall, this was a pretty lazy month, but for good reason. I’m hoping to get back into the groove of writing posts again. It was just really hard this past month, and I wanted to focus on myself getting better.
