Life
Like August, this month felt long—but in a good way. This year has gone by pretty quickly, and I don’t even want to think about the upcoming holiday season. I waited until the middle of the month to put out my fall decorations, but the living room looks super festive now. And I love burning my fall candles.

Josh and I had our annual trip to The Big E!

I worked from home on location from my parents’ house for a few hours last week, and I had a new co-worker who kept bringing me every shoe she could find in the house. Not super helpful in completing my work tasks, but she’s so cute.

Josh and I went to Maine for a couple of days at the end of the month. I’ll have a recap post up soon but here’s a sneak peak!

Yesterday morning, two friends and I went to a farm where you can pet farm animals! There were goats, sheep, a pony (who I kept calling Li’l Sebastian), and bunnies; plus there were pigs, ducks, and horses. You could go into some of the pens with the animals and hang out with them. It was literally us, three adults in our 30s, and then families with small children. It was so worth it, though.
Things not pictured:
- I had two fantasy football drafts in the beginning of the month: one for Josh’s league and one for our blogger league. In typical fashion, I prepped for each draft on the day of—why change something that works?
- I had Labor Day off and I sat outside and read two entire books. I think this was the highlight of my month.
- I met up with a friend at a brewery and we got the exact same beers in our flights. We filled out the slips on our own and then when we handed them to the bartender, we realized we got the same four. Guess that definitely means we’re friends.
- I started cross-stitching again! I’ve been working on the same project for well over the past year and I’m finally back into the groove.
“Exercise”?
For the most part, I’ve been sticking to my 5K running schedule. There were three times I had to skip the runs, but one of those times I rode the stationary bike instead. I’m not gonna lie: I’m not anywhere close to my best running shape circa 2019-2020, so this has been a bit rough. But I keep telling myself that running three times a week is better than doing nothing and it’s okay to run/walk the race.
I was only able to make it to two dance classes this month, due to either class being canceled or me not being able to go. It’s still fun, though, to go, and I’m glad I decided to sign up earlier this year.
