Life

I threw Josh a surprise party for his 30th birthday, we celebrated our 2.5-year anniversary, and we went to Josh’s work holiday party!

Josh’s parents’ dog, Pennie, spent the night with us last week! She was a little confused when she first got to the condo but spent a lot of time exploring. I told her we’d get yummy dog treats for her next sleepover.

Our first Springfield Thunderbirds game of the year! Josh and I went with my dad (it was his first-ever hockey game), a family friend, and his nephew. The promo for the night was Hometown Heroes, and the game was sold out; we got stuck in traffic trying to get there but still made it on time. During the first intermission, local first responder vehicles came onto the ice with all of the lights and sirens. The T-Birds won 6–1 against the Charlotte Checkers.
Things not pictured:
- Josh and I saw Migration in theaters and it was really cute.
- The theater group I volunteer with did a production of the play American Son and I saw it during a dress rehearsal.
- My SUV passed its emissions test, so I guess that’s good?
“Exercise”?
I’ve been pretty good about being consistent with exercise this month; I think I have around 20 days of movement—either riding the stationary bike, doing a yoga video, going for a walk, or a dance class. I’m hoping to keep it up into February.
Sports
I came in second in our fantasy football championship; I’ll take it. And I finished with a better record than I had when I won the whole thing.
I’ll have my pre- and post-Super Bowl posts next month. I can already tell there will be a lot of yelling involved.
