We’ve finally come to the end of an incredibly busy summer. I finally feel like I can take a breath and relax—and I no longer have plans every single weekend.

Josh and I went to Maine for a long weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. (Part 1, 2, and 2.5)

I also got a new headshot taken for the first time in like five years. I’m using the one on the left, but I love the one on the right that was caught during a lighting check. Everyone said I should turn it into a meme.

Things not pictured:

• Saw School of Rock put on by the theater group I volunteer with. It was their kids/young actors show and it was really good.
• Also went to the annual meeting for the theater group to vote on the board members and shows for the 2024-25 season.
• Finally finished my online class! It was Intro to HTML and CSS and I submitted my final project last week. I learned some new stuff that will be helpful in my work—which was the point of me taking the class but it was cool to handcode assignments and see how everything comes together.

I do have a few things planned for September: seeing Jon Stewart, John Mulaney, and Pete Davidson’s comedy show; Josh’s sister’s wedding; and going to get fun fall drinks with a friend at an orchard. I might see a friend from the ice cream shop this weekend and hopefully meet her new doggo.

“Exercise”?

Some runs and some walks this month. I fell out of my running routine while we were in Maine, but I’m hoping to keep up the two runs a week going into September. I started running on campus again after work, and I can always use the on-campus track in the field house. That’ll be good once it gets dark and cold.
