Life
May is always super busy for me, so that’s why I didn’t have too many posts this month. And I spent a lot of time inside because of my allergies. I did get a lot of books read, though, compared to the one book I read all of May last year.
I ran a 5K race on the first Saturday of the month by myself. It was in town and I felt safe going alone, and I’m proud of myself for doing so. Since then, I’ve only been able to run a few times, thanks to the allergies. I couldn’t even really go on walks, either. The pollen this year is killing me.

We celebrated Lucy’s second birthday on the 18th. I wasn’t able to go to my parents’ house for the day, but my mom made her a sign and had some peanut butter cookies for the special occasion.

And then I celebrated my 29th birthday on the 25th! Josh and I had an afternoon of activities before a busy weekend of plans together. The long weekend and time off was well deserved after I worked many, many days in a row because of Commencement weekend. Things are calming down a bit at work since all of the students are home for the summer.
Oh, and, yeah, we’ve got our Washington DC trip next week… 😬
