My Answers to Your Questions!

For those of you following along, I asked for questions at the end of last week while I’m trying to get my life together. Thanks to everyone who asked, and here are my answers!

Ellie‘s Questions

What is your guilty pleasure tv show?

I don’t have one at the moment, but my mom and I used to watch a lot of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Like seven years ago when things were “normal” for them, haha. (Like pre-Kayne and when Khloe was married to Lamar Odom.) We used to watch the main show and the spin-offs, too, like when they went to Miami or New York.

What is your greatest achievement?

Getting my master’s degree while working two jobs. It was 15 months of online classes while working full time at my actual job and on the weekends at the ice cream shop. It took a lot of time management and nights at the library, but I finished with 3.94 GPA.

Who inspires you?

I’ll be honest, I answered the rest of the questions and then came back to this one. And I can’t pinpoint a specific person. In my freshman year of college, I wrote a speech about how much I admired Jon Lester and how he overcame cancer. I guess now, though, I’d say my mom.

What is your dream job?

PR and marketing for the Boston Red Sox. I know that seems like a little of a reach, so I’d settle for any baseball team or even minor league team. I would love to work in sports and be part of the communications and marketing departments. (I’d definitely steer clear of the mascots, though.)

What is one goal you have for the end of the year?

Run four miles. I can run a 5k distance regularly now if I have the time, so I’d like to run four miles. I’m thinking about signing up for a 10k in March, but not 100% sure yet if I could run that far…

If you could get on a plane to anywhere right now, where would you go?

Probably Aruba. I could really use a week by the ocean with fruity drinks. And maybe find if they have zip lining or other fun things to do.

Weirdest food you have ever tried but liked?

It’s not “weird” but I tried calamari for the first time last year and liked it. I’m not a big seafood person at all, but fried calamari wasn’t that bad. I don’t think I would actively order it at a restaurant, but if it was available somewhere, I’d eat it again.

Paul‘s Questions

What was your most memorable birthday party as a kid?

I really don’t have one in mind, but my best friend and I in elementary school shared the same birthday, so we’d always have joint birthday parties. I remember that more than just one specific one. And as I got older, we really didn’t do much for my birthday. (I also share my birthday with my mom.)

Which hand do you write with?

I’m a righty.

What’s your favourite board game?

My mom and I used to play Trouble all the time when I was younger. I haven’t touched a board game in years, haha.

Are you good with directions?

Yes and no. So like when I go on trips, I normally map out the route and know of a few different ways to get there. But if I have to actually give someone directions, it depends where I am. Like in my own town, I know street names and can tell you which streets to take, but in the town where I work, I know buildings and landmarks and I don’t know street names, so I’m a little worse at trying to give directions.

Escalators or elevators?

Escalators. I tend to get motion sickness in elevators, when they stop at the floor and the car/room/whatever you call what you stand in does that little down-up motion at the end. But I’ll take an elevator if I have to, and I lean against the wall, bend my knees, and bounce with the elevator when it goes down-up. (I hope that makes some sort of sense.)

Aaron‘s Question

What is your favorite novel that you’ve ever read?

The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach. I’ve read it a handful of times and still love it. It’s about baseball but it’s also about other things, and it’s written like a good novel with detail and you get into each of the five characters and get to know them and how they’re all intertwined.

Hunida‘s Questions

What color of jeans are your favorite?

I have a pair of dark wash jean/jeggings from Banana Republic that I absolutely love. If I could wear them all the time, I would.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up every morning?

As bad as it sounds, check my phone. It’s a habit I know I should stop but I haven’t found a solution yet.

When & how did you first realize you needed glasses?

My glasses are for reading and computer work; they’re like the second lowest prescription you can get. I got them in high school because I was doing a lot of reading for an English class and I was getting headaches. I wear them now at work since I’m sitting at a computer all day, and probably should wear them more—like right now I’m not—but sometimes I’m lazy because I can still see without them.

Thanks again for all of the questions! This was a lot of fun.

  1. This was cool. Thanks for answering my questions – I just realized how ridiculous they were lol. I completely understood what you were saying about the elevator going down and then up as it settles. I always get a bit worried when the doors take about 5 seconds to open.

  2. I used to watch a lot of KUWTK, too, hahah! That GPA you achieved while working two jobs is so impressive, wow, go you! & you’re so lucky to be able to see without glasses!

Thanks for including & answering my questions. 🙂 I loved getting to know more about ya!! ♡

    • Haha it’s okay! It was a good question. I read a lot, so it’s a little hard to pinpoint one book, but I always seem to go back to The Art of Fielding, especially if I’m in between books and want to read something.

  3. I got my glasses for the same reason just this year! I was getting a lot of headaches at work and got a tiny prescription (with anti-glare lenses) that helps a lot when I’m on the computer all day.

    • Some people know I have glasses and that I wear them for computer work and other people think I actually need glasses and if I don’t have them on I’m wearing contacts haha. I only get new pairs every couple of years since I don’t actually need them for sight but I like to change up the frames.
