Hello all! This last month has been… interesting to say the least. Good and bad things have happened, and I’m trying to keep myself above water.
A few weeks ago I went to the outlets with one of my really good friends from high school. I definitely have a shopping problem, but it was great to get some clothes for work. We went to Clinton Crossing and I got stuff at Gap, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor. On the way back, we stopped in West Hartford for dinner at The Elbow Room.
I also got a pair of amazing jeggings from Banana Republic and two pairs of leggings from Gap.
This sign was outside The Elbow Room and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Mostly because I am a short person with low standards.
After dinner, we stopped in Wethersfield for ice cream, which I managed to get all over myself. For someone who has worked in ice cream for the last seven years, you’d think I’d be better at eating ice cream.
Last week, I went on my first (and last) Bumble date. I thought it went well, but apparently he had different things in mind. Long story short: I got led on, let down, and was blinded by how cute his dogs are. When you meet someone on a dating app, you honestly don’t really know them and sometimes you’re filling in the gaps with what you find online.
So my advice from this situation: just because his dogs are cute doesn’t mean he’s a good person.
My good news is a two-parter. One: at work they hired a full time account manager to come help me and the other girl I work with, and it’s actually someone who worked there last year (so he pretty much knows how everything works already). We’re going to shuffle around accounts, and I’m going to lose about 20, which will be a relief for me. Hopefully it won’t be too hectic anymore, but then again, I do have the title of fire-putter-outer, sooo.
Two: I’m officially a master’s student! (Eeek!) I registered for classes on Tuesday and I star September 26th. I’m taking Principles & Practices of Public Relations and Communication Research Methods. I’m actually excited to start because I miss school work, but not necessarily the college life.
So for right now, I think I’m just going to focus on myself because by the end of the month, I’ll be working two jobs (one full time and one part time) and starting my master’s. The whole date thing threw me for a loop, and I know I deserve so much better than how I was treated.
PS: Alabama football start tonight and I’m so excited my boys are back 🙂
